MARKHAM, Ontario – It was announced on Tuesday that Ailish Forfar ’16, a Canadian Women’s Hockey League draft prospect, was pre-signed by the Markham Thunder.
In 87 games played for the Big Green in three seasons between 2012 and 2016, Forfar tallied 37 points from 19 goals and 18 assists. She was in the top four in scoring as both a junior and a senior.
Having missed her sophomore season due to an injury, the Sharon, Ontario, native went on to play two years at Ryerson University, serving as captain during her final year 2017-18.
Forfar will be reunited with former Dartmouth teammate and classmate Laura Stacey ’16, who was drafted in the first round by the Thunder in 2016. Stacey has amassed quite a list of accolades since her time at Dartmouth, including 2017 Rookie of the Year and 2018 Olympic silver medalist.
