EVENT: “In conversation: William Kristol and Neera Tanden”
In a dialogue hosted by Ford School dean Michael Barr, William Kristol and Neera Tanden will reflect on their political differences and the common ground they find in their values and their commitments.
This keynote event is part of a conference hosted by the student group WeListen. It is also the launch of Conversations Across Differences, a new initiative at the Ford School of Public Policy. The initiative will host public events, student programming and more to foster a sense of belonging among students and in the community.

Kristol, founder and editor-at-large of The Weekly Standard, appears frequently on political commentary shows. Before starting The Weekly Standard in 1995, Kristol led the Project for the Republican Future, where he helped shape the strategy that produced the 1994 Republican congressional victory.
Tanden is president and CEO of the Center for American Progress and CEO of the Center for American Progress Action Fund. She previously worked as a key member of the health reform team of President Obama, where she helped to develop and pass the Affordable Care Act.
