Webster University Geneva held two 40th anniversary events in late September, celebrating the University’s first international campus, established in 1978. These events marked the beginning of a year of celebrations that will culminate with a gala event in April. The latest news on the anniversary and links to past events can be found at webster.ch/40.
The special exhibition on Sept. 27 of artist Sema Jonsson’s “100 Portraits of Women Who Inspire” was a showcase of 100 portraits of female artists, activists, writers, singers, scientists, politicians, businesswomen, humanitarians and philanthropists. The art installation was conducted with the assistance of Francesco Arese Visconti and a team of undergraduate students. Students enrolled in First-Year Seminar class helped select portraits for the Student Lounge.

A Community Day event was held on Sept. 29, bringing together Webster students, staff and faculty with friends from the local community for a 5K race, BBQ, music and children’s activities.
