Lone exhibition game before Nov. 8 season opener
The University of Illinois men’s basketball team will host Division III Illinois Wesleyan on Friday at 7 p.m. CT at State Farm Center in the lone exhibition game leading up to the 2018-19 season.
Fans unable to attend can watch the Illinois-IWU game online by purchasing a subscription to BTN Plus, available at BTN2Go.com. BTN Plus programming consists of non-televised games produced by students at Big Ten universities and is available through either a monthly or annual subscription. Illinois will have four more men’s basketball games this season streamed via BTN Plus – Nov. 8 vs. Evansville, Nov. 25 vs. Mississippi Valley State, Dec. 15 vs. East Tennessee State and Dec. 29 vs. Florida Atlantic.
The University of Illinois has adopted a clear bag policy for entrance into State Farm Center for the 2018-19 school year. The policy will be enforced at all public events held at State Farm Center, which includes Fighting Illini men’s and women’s basketball, concerts, shows, musicals, plays, and other sports and entertainment events.
Each ticketed guest can carry one (1) large clear plastic/vinyl bag – either a one-gallon Ziploc-style bag, clear drawstring bag not to exceed 12″ x 12″ or clear bag tote no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″ – plus a small clutch purse (4.5″ x 7″). The small clutch allows privacy for small personal items and also is easily searched.
Illinois-branded clear totes and bags are currently available for sale at both Gameday Spirit locations and through their online store.
