No. 6 Big Green Men Drop Decision to No. 2 Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The No. 6 Big Green men’s squash team faced No. 2 ranked Rochester Saturday afternoon and fell, 9-0, on a day with many competitive matches. Dartmouth is now 6-3 on the season, while Rochester is now 9-1.
 
Matt Giegerich, Sam Epley, Brandon De Otaduy and Tucker Martino all took their opponents to five games. Giegerich won his first game, 11-7, but fell in the next two before taking the fourth, 13-11 in extra points, but eventually fell in a hard fought fifth game, 11-9. Epley forced extra points in the first two games, taking the first, 12-10, he also took the fourth, 11-9, but could not secure the victory. De Otaduy won the second and fourth games and forced extra points in the third. After falling behind, 2-0, Martino won the third and fourth games, but fell in the fifth, 11-4.
 
James Bell dropped his match in four games, he split the first two, 11-7 and 11-8, before dropping the next two, 11-6 and 11-9.
 
Dartmouth is back on the road on Sunday to face St. Lawrence at 12 p.m.
