ALBANY, N.Y. – Dartmouth women’s hockey freshman Sara McClanahan was named the ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
This is the first time a Big Green rookie has received the weekly award since Kennedy Ottenbreit ’17 on Feb. 25, 2014.
McClanahan had a three-point weekend in New York. Against St. Lawrence on Friday, she scored both of Dartmouth’s goals (one on the power play) to have her first multi-point performance of her career. The following day against No. 5 Clarkson, she assisted on the Green’s second tally.
The Wayzata, Minnesota, native is first on the team with her 11 points (5-6-11).
Dartmouth will host Brown and Yale in its penultimate home weekend of the 2018-19 season.
