Dartmouth Finishes in Sixth Place at ECAC Indoor Championship

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The fifth-seeded Dartmouth women’s tennis team finished in sixth place at the ECAC Indoor Championship after falling to No. 7 seed Yale, 4-1, at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center on Sunday.
 
The Bulldogs had wins at the No. 2 and 1 doubles positions to start the match with a slight lead. They extended it by winning at No. 5 singles before freshman Jingyi Peng defeated Caroline Amos, 6-4, 6-0 at the No. 6 position.
 
Yale went on to win at the No. 2 and 3 spots to claim the match. Playing at the No. 5 position, freshman Nina Paripovic had won her first set, 6-1, against Kathy Wang and was leading, 5-4, in the second when the Bulldogs clinched the win.
 
On Feb. 23-24. Dartmouth will head to Michigan to take on Marquette and Michigan State.
