Big Green Fall to Marquette Golden Eagles

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Dartmouth women’s tennis was defeated by Marquette by a score of 6-1 on the campus of Michigan State on Saturday afternoon. The Big Green dipped to 3-6, while the Golden Eagles improved to 6-4.
 
Marquette started the match off with a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles, and that was followed up by a 6-4 victory by freshmen Jingyi Peng and Nina Paripovic at the No. 2 position. The Golden Eagles clinched with a 6-4 win at the No. 3 position.
 
Junior Allison McCann gave Dartmouth its lone point of the match, defeating Lesley Foe in a close match by a score of 7-6(4), 3-6, 1-0(3) at the No. 6 spot. Senior Chuyang Guan and junior Racquel Lyn kept their respective matches close, but ultimately fell.
 
On Sunday, the Green will take on Michigan State at 10 a.m.
