JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The spring season continues in the sunny south for the Dartmouth men’s outdoor track & field team as it kicked off the Spring Break Invitational at North Florida on Thursday afternoon.
The non-scoring meet is being held at Hodges Stadium, the same venue that will host the NCAA East Regional in late May.
• The Big Green dominated the field in the javelin with four of the top-six spots going to Dartmouth throwers. Leading the way was sophomore Cole Andrus with a 63.48m toss on his fifth attempt. Parker Whims (3rd, 55.57m), Ben Ose (4th, 54.75m) and Alec Eschholz (6th, 49.77m) rounded out the men of Hanover near the top of the leaderboard.
• Freshmen Myles Schreck and Andrew Palermo both put together a solid afternoon in the hammer throw, finishing third and fourth, respectively. Schreck’s best toss of 49.03m came on his third attempt, while Palermo’s 48.67m throw was on his fourth.
