Dartmouth Splits Four Races Against Brown

FAIRLEE, Vt. – Dartmouth heavyweight rowing competed 20 minutes north of campus at Lake Morey in Fairlee, Vermont for the Atalanta Cup and split four races against Brown. The Big Green’s Third and Fourth Varsity 8 each won the day, while the First and Second Varsity 8 both finished in second.
Dartmouth’s Third Varsity 8 (6:07.9) claimed the first victory of the day for the Big Green coming seven seconds ahead of Brown (6:14.1).
The Fourth Varsity 8 (6:12.4) also earned a win in the closest race of the day. The Big Green crossed the finish line four seconds in front of the Bears (6:16.3).
The First Varsity 8 (6:14.9) placed five seconds behind Brown (6:09.3), while the Second Varsity 8 (6:20.2) finished nine seconds behind the Bears (6:11.7).
Dartmouth races at Syracuse on Sunday at 8:05 a.m. for the Packard Cup.
