Scenes from Class Day 2019

The 2019 Class Day ceremony was held on May 19 on Old Campus — a welcome return to form following last year’s indoor ceremony. The celebrated novelist and essayist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, who received her master of arts in African studies from Yale in 2008, was the featured Class Day speaker.

As per tradition, the day included a look back at the graduates’ four years at Yale, the wearing of funny hats, and singing “Bright College Years” while waving a white handkerchief.
