Jackson Perry, 5th yr. Senior, Las Vegas, Nev., DL, Football
Fifth-year senior defensive lineman Jackson Perry spearheaded a Dartmouth defense that did not allow Colgate into the end zone as the Big Green defeated the visiting Raiders on Saturday night, 38-3. The native of Las Vegas, Nevada, was in on a fourth-down stop short of the marker no fewer than three times in the first half as Dartmouth built up a 24-0 lead by the intermission. His first drive-ending tackle came on the game’s first possession, setting the tone for the Big Green defense. Both of his sacks also came on fourth down in Dartmouth territory to end Colgate threats, the second of which he also jarred the ball loose. Through two games, the Big Green lead the FCS in scoring defense (4.5 ppg), and rank second in passing yards allowed (126.5 per game) and ninth in total yards surrendered (287.5).
