HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men’s hockey team will host Harvard Saturday afternoon at Thompson Arena in the lone preseason game of the year.
The event is FREE and open to the public with puck drop set for 3 p.m.
The Big Green and Crimson have met in the quarterfinals of the league’s postseason in each of the last two years with both series being played in Cambridge. Dartmouth saw its 2018-19 second-half run halted by Harvard in a pair of hard-fought games with the home team prevailing thanks to a 4-3 overtime win in Game 2 last March.
The Big Green bring a lot of promise into the 2019-20 campaign thanks to the return of the top-three point producers from a season ago as junior Quin Foreman (13-15-28), sophomore Drew O’Connor (17-9-26) and senior Will Graber (10-15-25) are all back.
Between the pipes after a Dartmouth-record six shutouts last year is senior Adrian Clark, who will look to build on his tremendous junior campaign in his final season in the crease for the Green and White.
Saturday’s game will not be streamed on ESPN+ like the rest of the season’s home games will be, but fans who are unable to attend the game at Thompson can follow along with live stats provided by DartmouthSports.com.
The team’s official Twitter account (@Dartmouth_MIH) will also be providing updates and color analysis throughout the contest.
The radio broadcasts of the team’s games this winter will be carried on DartmouthSports.com with Rob Kennedy back to fill the play-by-play duties. However, Saturday’s game will not be carried.
These two teams will open the regular season in Cambridge on Friday, Nov. 1 with Dartmouth traveling to Durham to take on UNH the following night. The Big Green open the home portion of the season on Friday, Nov. 8 against Quinnipiac and Saturday, Nov. 9 against Princeton
Season ticket packages and single-game tickets for the 2019-20 season are available for purchase through the Dartmouth Ticket Office. You can visit their online box office or call 603-646-2466.
