Championship Fours Place Third to Finish Head of the Charles

BOSTON, Mass. – Dartmouth’s championship 8+ and 4+ boats raced on the final day of the Head of the Charles on Sunday. The 4+ finished third, while the 8+ came in 16th.
 
The Big Green’s 4+ placed third out of 15 boats with a time of 15.57.371. Dartmouth fought hard to move up throughout the race. The team passed the Riverside Boat Club (3.36.132) in fifth and moved ahead of Wisconsin at the Weld Boathouse (8.48.352). They then moved ahead of Oregon State at the Cambridge Boat Club (13.12.311) to cross the finish line in third.
 
Dartmouth’s 8+ finished 16th of 30 boats with a time of 14.13.854. The Big Green passed Riverside (3.09.173) in ninth. They then dropped to 16th place for the remainder of the race.
 
The Big Green will wrap up their fall schedule at the Princeton Chase on Sunday.
