Lightweights Place Ninth at Head of the Charles

BOSTON, Mass. – Dartmouth lightweight rowing began its season at the Head of the Charles on Sunday. The Championship 8+ and the Championship 4+ boats finished ninth, respectively.
 
The Big Green Championship 8+ placed ninth out of 17 boats with a time of (14.49.139). Dartmouth stayed in the middle of the pack during the race passing the Riverside Boat Club (3.17.202) and the Weld Boathouse (8.05.578) in 10th. They then passed Delaware to move to ninth at the Cambridge Boat Club (12.11.054) where they would cross the finish line just over two minutes later.
 
Dartmouth’s Championship 4+ came in ninth out of 16 boats with a time of 16.40.440. The Big Green passed Riverside (3.47.748) and Weld (9.13.828) in 10th. The team then passed Georgetown to move into ninth at Cambridge (13.50.747) and would finish three minutes later.
 
Dartmouth is back on the water on Sunday for the Princeton Chase.
