Dartmouth men’s soccer continues the hunt for an Ivy title with a crucial road win over the Quakers of Penn. Junior Tiger Graham scored the team’s only goal for a 1-0 victory. On the water, sophomore Carlota Hopkins-Guerra teamed up with freshman Payton Thompson for a first-place finish at the Yale Women’s Trophy

Their efforts are rewarded by being named the Cape Air Athletes of the Week.

Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes – one male, one female – as the Cape Air Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.

Tiger Graham, Jr., Paoli, Pa., F, Soccer

In a must-win game looking for their first road win of the season, Tiger Graham scored the game-winning goal in the 55th minute against the Quakers to boost Dartmouth to a 1-0 victory.

The junior from Paoli, Pennsylvania netted his third goal of the season, which tied him for the team lead. It was Graham’s first game winner of the season.

Carlota Hopkins-Guerra and Payton Thompson, Sailing

Sophomore Carlota Hopkins Guerra and freshman Payton Thompson took home first-place for Division B in the Yale Women’s Trophy. 

With Thompson as the skipper and Hopkins Guerra as the crew, the boat raced for 65 points with nine finishes in the top five out of 13 races and came in first place twice.
