CHULA VISTA, Calif. – Dartmouth women’s rugby freshmen Kristin Bitter and Lauren Ferridge are two of the 28 Under-18 athletes selected for the Winter Camp 2019.
Camp will take place from Dec. 27-31 at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center. There will be a match against Canada U18s on Dec. 30 at 3:00 p.m. Pacific (12:00 p.m. Eastern).
All players selected for Winter Camp attended one of the U18 summer assemblies in Canada this past August. Three of which include standouts Bitter, Emele Tanupo and Kerena Tinoisamoa.
Bitter ended her first season in Hanover first on the team with 61 points from 19 conversions and three tries. She had a season-high 16 points in the Ivy Championship win over Harvard. Ferridge wrapped up the year with 10 points from two tries, both of which were scored in the win over Brown to start the 2019 season.
Winter Camp will be the year’s final touchpoint for many Under-18 players who will next look towards opportunities in the Under-20s program.
