HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth’s three-game unbeaten streak was spoiled by a 7-0 loss to No. 7 Princeton at Thompson Arena on Friday.

Junior Kayla Wormsbecher got her second start of the season and had two saves and allowed a pair of goals before making way for freshman Hannah Humphreys at 9:34. The rookie played the remaining 50 minutes and made 20 saves.

After the Tigers scored three goals in the opening stanza, the Big Green looked better and played more cohesively in the second period. Dartmouth (5-8-3, 2-5-3) had a few good chances and Humphreys made some important saves, but Princeton (14-4-0, 9-3-0) was able to get two more on the board to take a 5-0 lead heading to the third.

After another Tiger tally early in the third, juniors Emily McLaughlin and Jennifer Costa had promising shots, but netminder Rachel McQuigge saved both of them. One more on the power play in the final six and a half minutes would do it.

Princeton had a 29-19 shot advantage.

The Green will be back at Thompson on Saturday when they host Quinnipiac at 3 p.m.
