NEW ORLEANS – The Dartmouth men’s track & field program was recognized on Thursday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The men’s program was honored as a 2020 All-Academic Team. To earn the distinction, a team must post a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for the entire year, not just one semester.
The Big Green posted a 3.4 GPA, the third-best mark by any of the seven Ivy League teams to make the list.
In addition to the All-Academic Team honors, Dartmouth’s Tim Zepf was recognized as a 2020 USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete. Zepf was recognized for the honor as he met the criteria of at least a 3.25 GPA in addition to finishing the season ranked in the top 96 in any championship individual event, or in the top 48 in any championship relay event, for the most recent indoor season.
This season, Zepf – a government major – captured the 800m indoor title at the Ivy League championship meet at Cornell, earning first-team all-league honors after placing second in the event each of the previous two years.
