Vanderbilt’s move-in for the fall 2020 semester will be different than in previous years. Each student’s health—and that of their family members, friends and the Vanderbilt community—is the highest priority.
Move-in for first-year students will take place Aug. 17–22, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in one-hour increments.
Move-in for upper-division students will take place Aug. 17–23, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in one-hour increments.
All students must schedule a move-in appointment for a specific date and hour during the move-in period. The one-hour limit applies to unloading a car and moving the car for the next round of students moving in.
Scheduling a move-in appointment is a two-step process. Both steps can be completed after logging in to the Student Housing Portal beginning Monday, July 27, at 10 a.m. CDT.
Please review carefully all details regarding fall 2020 move-in before arriving on campus.
This year’s move-in process has been developed in close consultation with health experts at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Vanderbilt School of Nursing, as well as national, state and local public health officials. The success of this approach will require cooperation from every member of the Vanderbilt community.
