HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth women’s team was featured in US Lacrosse Magazine‘s “Early 2021 Rankings” series this week.
The Big Green landed on the list at No. 15 in the preseason look ahead to the 2021 campaign.
Dartmouth finished last year’s COVID-shortened season with a 5-0 record, including wins over No. 13 UMass and No. 5 Florida. That fast start helped first-year head coach Alex Frank‘s group earn top-10 rankings across all three national polls at the time of the shutdown.
The Green and White finished the 2020 season No. 9 in the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) poll released in mid-March. It marked the first time in the top 10 in the final poll since 2012 when the team was 10th, at the time its highest finish since the poll’s inception in 2009.
Though final rankings were not released by the US Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse in 2020, Dartmouth was No. 6 and No. 7, respectively, when the season abruptly ended.
