HANOVER, N.H. — The Woods Watch Party lands for its fourth week on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 1:30 p.m. with the re-airing of the Dartmouth football game against Penn at Franklin Field in 2015.
As has been the case since 2000, the 2015 Big Green were matched up with the Quakers for their third game of the season and Ivy League opener. Dartmouth was coming off convincing victories at Georgetown (31-10) and against Sacred Heart (49-7), and was now aiming to win its second straight in the series with Penn after dropping the five previous meetings by no more than a touchdown.
Dalyn Williams ’16 was capping his stellar Big Green quarterbacking career that season and had begun the season modestly with 451 yards and two touchdowns without an interception while completing 67.9 percent of his passes. His favorite target was fellow senior Victor Williams ’16 (no relation), who had caught 16 passes — four times more than any other receiver on the roster.
The defense featured senior linebacker Will McNamara ’16, who would go on to be a finalist for the Ivy League’s Bushnell Cup, and junior linebacker Flo Orimolade ’17, a future Bushnell Cup winner and CFL player, along with senior cornerback Vernon Harris ’16, who signed a free agent deal with the Kansas City Chiefs the following spring.
Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, there will not be any coaches or former players commenting this week. Instead, the original video broadcast will be introduced by Tyler Murray, who will still serve as the host during the stream.
